Henderson, North Carolina is a rural town with a rich history. Located about 45 miles north of Raleigh, it was named in honor of the former North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Leonard Henderson, who lived in the area and knew some of the earliest settlers personally.
Take in a show at the McGregor Hall Performing Arts Center or Raleigh Road Outdoor Theatre. Hike or bring your tent to beautiful Kerr Lake State Recreation Area. For Civil War historians, the Kittrell Confederate Cemetery is a can’t-miss.
